Friendster I didn't like either. Facebook is what I use, and I like it a lot for being about to keep in touch with a lot of people. I don't keep much personal information on it since I think it is pretty fake and difficult to sum up personality in a few words...
I think the concept is great though for keeping in touch with people, but the sites can't be too complicated like myspace--then it's not fun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31906869.post-66823957405591622342006-12-06T17:18:00.000-08:002006-12-06T17:18:00.000-08:00I've never tried these sites because my impression...I've never tried these sites because my impression was that they are more for teenagers, and this was not the main audience I wanted to correspond with. Funny how even though it's down for "maintenance", the same crap crops up after the alleged "maintenance" is completed. Last night I wasn't able to look at any bulletins because they said that section was down for "special maintenance" for an hour. I checked back two hours later and it was still down. I've read lots of railing against MySpace on other blogs. The consensus being that MySpace is blogging for young adults (not just teen but people in their 20s). A guy I knew never had anything to say about any of the subjects I talk about on my blog, didn't really care about anything in my personality, but would "stay in touch" by saying on MSN "Hi, lovely morning, I'll talk to you later." If he didn't have anything to say to me, then why did he bother me? It felt like having this stranger peeking through my window just to check up on me and go. To say nothing of a girl who became obsessed with her ex-boyfriend and used MSN to complain to me about him five times a day, writting sheets and sheets. I'll never use that technology again.Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14679839426291667211noreply@blogger.com
