Two more things to try include rubbing peppermint oil on your temples. Peppermint is a topical analgesic-- plus, the soothing aroma provides an "aromatherapy" benefit.
The other thing is placing a small pinch of ground cayenne pepper under your tongue, which will help dialate your capillaries. Some types of headaches are caused by capillary constriction.

2-3 times per year I get blinding migranes. I don't feel pain, but my vision is affected. The cayenne thing handles this for me very quickly. Peppermint sometimes helps my ordinary type headaches, and sometimes it doesn't. In a hot/dry climate like yours, some headaches may result from salt & potassium depletion. Not that you are working hard outdoors all day, but a little salt, a potassium supplement and plenty of water can help some headaches.

Ginko gives me headaches, so I can't use that supplement for alertness. CoQ-10 is good for focus and alertness without side effects associated with "herbal" stimulants. It's also a powerful antioxident. Idebenone is a cheaper substitute for Q-10.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31906869.post-34112316992718972262007-04-02T13:15:00.000-07:002007-04-02T13:15:00.000-07:00That is a great idea! My mom taught me to sleep on my stomach to prevent having disturbing dreams. It also helps the stomach digest food during the night.
