Coffee Bear Still Trying to Get a Handle on Properly Drinking His Coffee

Coffee bear has trouble drinking coffee. Here he can be seen with an upside down coffee cup on his head. HEY! That's not how you are supposed to drink your coffee!! your manners are deplorable, disgusting, and downright disturbing!!!

Sometimes coffee bear gets excited about his coffee and dunks his whole head into the coffee-filled cup. Mmmmmm, looks like a nice way to enjoy coffee... but once again, I have to say it doesn't seem like proper coffee-drinking etiquette.

Ouch! Poor coffee bear's nose! Isn't the coffee hot?

A little club soda will get that coffee stain right out of bear's fur.

Coffee Bear will learn, even if the little person serving him has to teach him. Very nice.

I love, love, LOVE your drawings!! I can't express this enough. And your thoughts are like A.A. Milne. You have a way with words and are a talented artist. Who else would think of small floating children? Pets who gaze bewildered or plan odd rituals? I can't get enough. What a special person you are!

Your children's stories will be classics. You must forgive me for wanting to latch on to your talent.

I was directed here by Miss Ananda and I must say, Coffee Bear is right up my alley. I'd take a bath in coffee if 1) it were feasible and 2) it would wake me up faster. Thanks for the great site!

Yep. This is very much like my usual mornings. Apart from the birds sitting on my ears.

Ananda Girl: But I think his fur protects him, thank goodness!!!

Tara: Can I call you MacGyver :)

Aliencg: Thanks! That's what little friends are for...

Gary: Gary, you are tooooo nice!!! I don't know what to say, but thank you so much for all the kind words, so happy you get a kick out of my drawings :)

Crazy4coens: Hi there! Thanks so much for the visit and kind words. Mmmmm, coffee bath sounds very enticing, very much so...

People in the Sun: Birds on ears are very therapeutic. That's what they told me in the mental hospital.

I'm afraid I understand Coffee Bear's predicament all too well. I am exactly like that before I get my first cup.

laura b.-- That's because you are a dancing bear!

Sorry Sebastien... I couldn't resist.
I'll give your comments back to you now.

Laura: Coffee is a life source, saver... and absolutely sublime :)

Ananda: It all makes sense! Laura is the dancing bear. I bet she would really get along with coffee bear :)

haha I wonder what would happen if he tried to drink tea?

I absolutely love these two drawings! :$ :$ :$

I guess big bear isn't ready for Starbucks yet.

Sebastien said...

Frenchy: Now that is an interesting question! Maybe time to introduce bear to a Japanese tea ceremony!

Zhu: Thanks so much Zhu! hehe, he hasn't graduated to the 'big leagues' yet...

Looks like the coffee wakes him up even if he hasn't quite got the hang of it yet.

I love that second drawing especially. Prints soon perhaps?

Coffee Bear goes to the hospital to have 3rd Degree burns treated from scalding hot coffee! Silly Coffee Bear!

crazy4coens said...

i actually did have to go to the hospital with coffee burns - years ago - it hurt so bad - they soaked my hand in ice water, applied salve or some sort, wrapped my hand up in gauze and sent me on my way. silly coffee bear indeed.

Sebastien said...

Rachelcreative: That would be a fun idea, prints, need to look into it :) coffee coffee COFFEE!

RG: But his fur protects him (I hope!). I hope he has bear health insurance, probably has to pay a ridiculous premium, poor guy.

Crazy4Coens: Oh crap! That really sucks, I hope you got to sue someone and make lots of money of that :)

crazy4coens said...

Sebastien - It was my stoopid husband's coffee - so no law suit there :(

Sebastien said...

Hmmm, I'm sure we could build a case against your hubby :)

crazy4coens said...

i am sure the statue of limitations would disallow that.

Sebastien said...

I bet if we pay some lawyer millions of dollars we will find a way around that statute of limitations...

crazy4coens said...

If you've got the money - let's find that lawyer - but wait - it would be basically just suing myself and beleive me - we don't got the money. :(

Sebastien said...

I think it would prove an interesting existential dilemma... suing one's self.
