This drawing finds its inspiration from a Magritte painting. Don't worry, I won't inundate you with too many art history references in my upcoming drawings. I will be sticking to my bread and butter, bears and dead kids. And stars. That way everyone stays happy.

Art history references are intimidating...but only for the weak! I say, bring them on! Bears love a good solid reference the way foxes love their pipes!
Mm. Bears and dead kids and stars. The stuff of legend, really. Followed!
Laura: I'm so happy I can intimidate people!
Lizz: Hello!!! thanks for the comment, glad you like these themes ;)
I do believe that pipe is smoking the fox right out! By the way... does it look to you like that fox is a bit concerned about that arrow aimed at his noggin?
So if he's not smoking a pipe, what, pray tell IS he smoking? We might need to put him through an intervention.
The kids are dead? All of them? But they seem so full of life - say it isn't so, say it isn't so....
Yes, an art joke I got!
Ceci n'est pas une pipe...
This is not a compliment of your picture <--- :-)
It's Sherlock Holmes in disguise. The disclaimer was obviously meant to throw us off. Ha.
Ananda Girl: I think he is feeling a bit intimated by the arrow.
Tara: You always think the worst of foxes!!! he is smoking tobacco of course :)
Gary: Hmmm, this is something that will debated by art historians for generations to come ;)
Zhu: Yay!!!!
MrManuel: Haha, nice! very clever :)
Jeaux: You see through all my illusions :(
So, my friend Joy and I looked through your blog last night (whilst on the phone) and decided that if the kids are not dead most of them appear to be on their way to it. And here I thought they were just brave little adventurous tykes out for a good time.
so many levels...
Well... actually, the kids never die! woohoo!
I like that :)
