Can You Do Funny Voices?

Love this video, it's Mel Blanc (the guy who did the voice of bugs bunny and daffy and all sorts of cartoon characters) on the Johnny Carson show. Talk about someone who'd be fun to hang out with! I would give anything to have his abilities, just thinking about all the hilarity and havoc I could cause with such a skill...

Wow, and ta think both of these guys (Mel Blanc and Johnny Carson) are now gone.

Mel Blanc. The immortal Mel Blanc. What an amazing career this man had. Truly a lucky fellow and quite a talent.

His normal speaking voice sounds a lot like Heathcliff the Cat, which he did do the voice of in the cartoon.

How cool.

I heard that Mel had been in an auto accident and was in a coma, and what finally snapped him out of the coma was when a doctor started talking to Mel as if he were Bugs-- calling him Bugs. As the story goes, Mel started answering the Doctor as Bugs and eventually came out of it.

He was a genius! Chuck Jones used him in all his cartoons.

WAT: So sad they are both gone... Haven't seen Heathcliff in years, I loved that show! I didn't know he did the voice of that cat, wow, guy has such a great voice even without all his characters...

JP: Oh man, that is a great story!

Mrmanuel: Do a video! It'd be fun!

Hedy: Christopher Walken! Haha, that must be hilarious, guy is crazy, I saw someone impersonating him on tv a while back... it was great! I need more friends with wacky talents like that.

Mariana: Those are some classics!

You cause hilarity and havoc without funny voices. We don't know what you sound like and yet, we laugh at you. I mean with you.
My Texas accent gets in the way of making funny voices. Now the voices in my head, they have many different accents.

Dolcedonna: Isn't it mind blowing! I never could have imagined someone actually did all those cartoon voices, for some reason I thought they'd take a normal voice and distort it with studio equipment.

Babs: I do... why thank you. Oh wait a sec, you laugh at me, why you little punk!

Ah, well at least the voices in your head are diverse, how boring if they all talked the same way!!!
