Drawing.

This is a drawing I recently did. You can click on the pic for better resolution.

This drawing represents a fond childhood memory of mine. I used to go on adventures with my donkey and my two friends, Barkley the Bear and Marvin the Squirrel. On our adventures, Barkley the Bear would sit behind me. He was a pretty mellow fellow. And he usually held my bloody scythe for me... Poor guy, we always made fun of Barkley because he looked like an anteater. Marvin the Squirrel usually stood on Barkley's head... Marvin was ok, but kinda uptight, always reminding us what time it was, which was pretty annoying...

I love it! I have memories exactly like this one, and you really captured what it means to be a kid. My brother and I drove to China once in my dad's jeep. It was gorgeous there.

Barkley the Bear looks bewildered. It must've been an unbearable week for him. TGIF, Berkley!

What's your donkey's name?

It seems to be childhood memory drawing day! I just posted that picture I drew about the candy!

I wish I could draw the aliens that used to hide in my closet like poltergeists waiting to get out. but I never opened my eyes in sheer terror and they never got out. Bastards. Aliens never think of the children, do they?

Ian: Thanks Ian! Ah, yes, childhood, such a fun place, and filled with lots of crazy monsters too! Couldn't ask for a better time! Wow, China, now that sounds like an adventure! By the way, thanks for adding me to your links, I've added you guys to mine, love the artwork!

Tara: Yes, I think Barkley is in a little over his head... Hmmm, donkey's name, how bout, Drunky?

Mariana: Aliens are truly evil, they always scare the crap out of us. They even target the occasional adult...

Silver: Ah, yes, those were the carefree days! I've been a little inconsistent in my blogging of late...

Babybull: Hey, that sounds like fun!!!! And thanks for the kind words.

Sweet picture. Reminds me of where the wild things are.

I've been seeing squirrel art all over today. Is there some kind of urban rodent movement that I don't know about?

Love the art work.

So Fringes has paired us.

If you read into Killer Rants you will notice there are two of us. We try to label clearly, but we are both lazy, so sometimes it is not always clear who is writing.

I think it will be great getting interviewed by a stranger. You can email me the the questions at:

I like this one, it's a bit less violent. I'm really liking the donkey--and the watch.

I used to venture out like this also . . . until i got a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) . . . Technology ruined my childhood

:-(

Och squirrels are always uptight like that.

My squirrel friend, who, coincidentally, is called Darvin, is constantly reminding me its time to go home or I'll be late for dinner. He became so annoying I stopped hanging out with him.

Mrmanuel: Thanks! Oh, I need to check that book out, been so long since I've seen that...

Mist1: It's the new hot thing. Squirrels are in, gophers are out.

Killer: Thanks Killer! The questions have been sent...

Sir Jorge: Thanks!

Frenchy: Yes, a little less violent, haha!!!

Ak-man: Glad you had adventures, but maybe playing SNES kept you out of harm's way (ie bear attacks)?

Princesse Ecossaise: You have a squirrel friend too!!!!? Cool! Oh, yeah, I see, he is annoying too, glad to hear you stopped hanging out with that annoying punk.

We were having a lot of fun with dad who was very good at building scary adventures for me and my brother... All those memories came back to me while reading your post... and it felt very good... ;-) Thank you for that nice (even if bloody..) part of your childhood... ;-)

Very nice... love the hat! Decapitated animal heads are so fashionable these days.

Moonbeam Baby: Haha, it's true, everyone is into decapitated animal heads these days. Seriously, they are!

Taarzaan: Thanks buddy! I wish I could draw more often, but I do what I can when I can.

Where has that rapier been????

Sebastien Millon said...

Well, unfortunately, life has it's grizzly duties, and not every one knows this... but the grim reaper, turns out, he's a 3 year old kid, and his partners in crime (or work?) are a loopy looking anteater bear and a squat little squirrel who carries a watch around to remind everyone the clock is ticking...

So that's what you looked like as a child!
There's a family of squirrels now that I feed. I've had the joy of watching them frolic around a couple of mornings. 4 of them. I think 2 are the kids. These squirrels seem to only be uptight when a cat or dog invades their playground.
Speaking of scythes, have you ever watched the series "Dead Like Me?" It only lasted 2 seasons, but you can rent the DVD's or download them. It's hysterical, in a sick sense of humor kind of way.

motherf@$%#$% word verfi

Sebastien Millon said...

Oh no, never seen Dead Like Me, will try and check it out! Ah, your squirrels a bit more mellow, that is a good thing... have you been giving the squirrels cigarettes?

ohhh so cute! my second favorite!!!

Terrific.

Barkley is scary though. Dude seriously needed some meds or something.

Sebastien Millon said...

Katie: Thanks so much Katie! So glad you like!

WAT: Yeah, there is something about Barkley, looks a little unhinged or something...
